homemade banana hair mask

Of all the possible great natural homemade hair masks, the homemade banana hair mask is my favorite. Bananas are quite cheap fruit and it is available in stores in all seasons, so it is very easy to get. I personally have bananas at my fridge almost all the time, because they are delicious and that why when I suddenly have the craving for healthy hair mask I don’t have to go to store and can just make it right away. Banana also is easier to wash out of your hair than say strawberries, avocado, different oils etc.

So, why banana is so good for your hair?

Banana is full of B vitamins including B6 and B12, potassium, iron, natural oils etc. All of this is great for overall hair nutrition, gives your hair that silky feel, glossy shine, prevents hair breakage and even cures dry scalp skin, dandruff.

What are most effective homemade banana hair mask s?

Banana hair mask

Well, actually if you are in a hurry and don’t have the time to make a mask with more than one ingredient or you don’t even have other ingredients… For this homemade banana hair mask just mash or blend a couple of bananas and gently rub it in your hair starting with hair roots. Put your hair together and cover it with a shower cap or if you don’t have one, a plastic bag will do, or just put a towel around your head or at least on your shoulders, this mask can make a bit of a mess. Leave it in for at least 20 minutes. Then wash out with warm water and then shampoo and condition.

Note! Make sure you blend the banana very well and it has no lumps, because if you leave sum lumps the mask will be harder to get out of your hair, you don’t want any banana chunks in your hair, trust me.

Note! When you make any banana hair mask don’t wait too long before applying it to your hair, because banana tends to darken very fast and it is easier to put in your hair when it is just made.

Ingredients: 2 ripe bananas, ½ cup (150 g) honey; ¼ cup olive oil (45 ml)

Apply the mixture to the hair massaging the mask into your scalp as you add, and leave on for an hour or more under a plastic cap for at least 20 minutes. Then put a towel over the plastic cap to add heat to it so the mask would work better for another 10-20 minutes. Wash out with warm water and then shampoo and condition as you usually.
